Count Your Blessings

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS
***************
When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Count your blessings, name them one by one;
Count your blessings, see what God hath done;
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by.
When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold.
Count your many blessings, money cannot buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your Lord on high.
So amid the conflict, whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

Will handheld echo replace cardiac auscultation?!

Apparently, this handheld echo is only $10K! Its use is going to proliferate as it gets cheaper! Hope this does not diminish acquisition of cardiac auscultatory skills.

TED talks: What adults can learn from kids...from a 12-yr old girl.

TED talks: 13 yr old enterpreneur

Tagore: Go not to the temple

Go not to the temple to put flowers upon the feet of God,
First fill your own house with the Fragrance of love...

Go not to the temple to light candles before the altar of God,
First remove the darkness of sin from your heart...

Go not to temple to bow down your head in prayer,
First learn to bow in humility before your fellowmen...

Go not to temple to pray on your knees,
First bend down to lift someone who is down-trodden.

Go not to temple to ask for forgiveness for your sins,
First forgive from your heart those who have sinned against you.

Morning in a Gurudwara I prayed wishing for multiple things and then felt I needed to give something in return.

Took out money to bow down,
got caught in the dilemma of what to place
between the small and the large note.......

Civilian Drone Photography

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/01/02/technology/personaltech/review-the-phantom-2-vision-photo-drone-from-dji.html?smid=pl-share

Here comes the era of civilian drones. At a price of $1200, it is similar to the price of a "good" DSLR camera. As usual, technology goes ahead of ethics and rules...Governments have to catch up and create suitable rules to regulate this activity.
